I would like to research a type of religious buildings, Mosques.
2. Why are you researching this building typology?
I believe it would be a great piece to add to my portfolio. It is something different then the typical commercial or residential projects we mostly work on.
3. What is the specialty of this building type you would like to research?
This building serves as a mosque, as well as an islamic school. I would like to research how islamic schools are planned and how it fits into a public space such as the prayer areas at the mosque.

5. What are your goals for working with this building type?
My goals for working with this building type is to understand how to design public and private spaces in a religious facility. Also I will try and design a mosque which takes some characteristics of traditional mosque designs and mixes it with contemporary designs of today.
